We currently offer the following courses:
Energy Codes – Mechanical / Electrical / Plumbing Requirements LU|HSW|SD
This course will demonstrate how to design a building to use 30% less energy using practical, readily available measures. As well, the course will introduce what incentives and rebates are available from power companies and federal government incentive programs. Additionally, the course will provide instructions on how to access websites for calculations for energy rebates.
Commissioning 101 LU|HSW|SD
This course will develop an understanding of the commissioning process and how it affects the design and construction phases. It is particularly geared towards LEED and explains the roles/responsibilities of each team member. The student will improve their ability to properly integrate the commissioning process into their project.
Fire Protection Engineering (LU)
This course discusses the historical significance of fire protection in the A/E industry, the challenges that come with integrating fire protection systems into buildings and solutions to commonly occurring issues of sprinkler design. The course will provide the student with an appreciation for designing life safety systems and a holistic understanding of how to integrate and work with fire protection systems.
