DWG, Inc. the Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Protection and Communications engineering for to renovate the Third Floor of the West Tower at Roper Hospital from a patient wing to a new Rehabilitation Hospital. We served as a consultant to Novus Architecture. The project involved the renovation of 9,200 square feet of the West Tower, built in 1942, and conversion from a Patient Wing to a Rehabilitation Wing for patient recovery.
The team was led by Roper Project Manager, Ken Hill. DWG, Inc. provided the engineering of the HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Protection, Communication, Electrical Power and Lighting systems. With this renovation, Roper Rehabilitation now has room for 13 Patients in private patient rooms and is further licensed to provide services to Medicaid Patients.
This project utilized energy recovery HVAC and low flow fixtures to save energy, cost and water usage.
