DWG Consulting Engineers founders celebrate 30th anniversary

DWG, Inc. Consulting Engineers (DWG) founders Mike Weeks, PE, and Phil Dalpiaz, PE, are celebrating 30 years with the company.

DWG, which celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2023, expanded into South Carolina with a Mount Pleasant office in 1991. In 2008, the Mount Pleasant office became an independent corporation under the ownership of Weeks and Dalpiaz, making them the founders of DWG as it is known today.

“It has been so rewarding to work with Mike and Phil,” said Brian Bates, President of DWG. “This company has grown tremendously under their leadership over the past 30 years, and their contributions have been invaluable in shaping the success and culture of our company.”

Under the leadership of Weeks and Dalpiaz, DWG became a 100% employee-owned ESOP company in 2020 and grew from a staff of 13 in 2008 to 37 Employee-Owners in 2024.

DWG provides mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and commissioning engineering services to a diverse portfolio of clients, including those in K-12, higher education, healthcare, parks, and churches.
