Essential Job Functions

  • Under close supervision, prepares simple and routine plans, designs, and calculations by following standard engineering practices and procedures within well-established guidelines.
  • Seeks validation from Team Leader, Senior Engineer or Project Manager on design decisions.
  • Demonstrates the ability to learn the basic design and analysis within his/her discipline.
  • Responsible for understanding and embodying DWG’s Culture Statement.
  • Plan & design electrical systems for tasks of various types including institutional facilities, commercial buildings, medical complexes, educational facilities, laboratories, and government facilities.
  • Perform individual aspects of electrical engineering as it relates to individually assigned task. This is inclusive of, but not limited to the following:
    • Power distribution both primary distribution and secondary distribution
    • Power generation including cogeneration and standby systems
    • Lighting design and control, including both interior and exterior lighting
    • Power conditioning and uninterruptible power supplies
    • Telecommunications
    • Security and surveillance
    • Fire alarm
    • Programmable controllers
    • Nurse call
    • Lightning protection

Education

BS or MS degree in Electrical Engineering or an Architectural Engineering Degree with an emphasis in Electrical Engineering

Machine/Equipment/Computer Requirements

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • AutoCAD (most current version)
  • Revit (most current version)
  • Visual Lighting Software

Essential Job Functions

  • Perform all aspects of Electrical Engineering as it relates individually assigned projects.
  • Requires limited mentoring on complex system designs.
  • Works independently in a team environment to complete project from start to finish with little to no input from Supervisor.
  • Capable of working independently on highly complex projects to design multiple systems (A/V, IT, Lighting, Power, etc.).
  • Understands and implements cross-discipline coordination.
  • Plan & design electrical systems for complex projects of various types including; institutional facilities, commercial buildings, medical complexes, educational facilities, laboratories, and government facilities including Construction Administration.
  • Performs self QC on work and plans for/seeks appropriate peer review of work.

Education

  • BS or MS degree in Electrical Engineering or an Architectural Engineering Degree with an emphasis in Electrical Engineering
  • 3-7 years related experience in Consulting Engineering

Essential Job Functions

  • Works on mechanical design with little direction or input from supervisor from start to finish and through Construction Administration on a project of average complexity.
  • Understands code requirements and properly applies them to the project.  Seeks resource references, designs and seeks validation for design from Team Leader, Senior Engineer or Project Manager.
  • Establish good rapport with peers and clients by responding to requests and communicating information in a timely manner.

Education

  • BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering or an Architectural Engineering Degree with an emphasis in Mechanical Engineering
  • 3-5 years experience

Essential Job Functions

  • Perform all aspects of mechanical engineering as it relates to individually assigned projects.  Mechanical System designs to include:
    • HVAC – Split system/Package Heat Pumps, Chilled Water/Hot Water Hydronics, Stem/Condensate, Constant volume and variable volume air distribution systems.
    • Plumbing – Medical gas systems, Hot and cold water/waste and vent systems, Compressed air systems.
    • Fire Protection – Performance drawings and specification for wet pipe and dry pipe systems.
  • Perform appropriate fieldwork to determine a design direction which may include making educated decisions on system upgrades.
  • Capable of working independently to design multiple systems (HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Protection) of highly complex projects.
  • Understands and implements cross-discipline coordination.
  • Plan & design mechanical systems for complex projects of various types including; institutional facilities, commercial buildings, medical complexes, educational facilities, laboratories, and government facilities including Construction Administration.
  • Performs self QC on work and plans for/seeks appropriate peer review of work.

Education
