Essential Job Functions
- Prepares simple and routine plans, designs, and calculations by following standard engineering practices and procedures.
- Seeks code references and design direction from mentors.
- Perform individual aspects of electrical engineering as it relates to individually assigned task. This is inclusive of, but not limited to the following:

- Power distribution both primary distribution and secondary distribution
- Power generation including standby systems
- Lighting design and control, including both interior and exterior lighting
- Power conditioning and uninterruptible power supplies
- Telecommunications
- Security and surveillance
- Fire alarm
- Nurse call
- Lightning protection

- Performs self QC on work and plans for/seeks appropriate peer review of work.
- Meets with Clients regarding electrical engineering design and projects.
- Performing field work to document existing conditions.

BS or MS degree in Electrical Engineering or an Architectural Engineering

- Requires limited mentoring on complex system designs.
- Owns the design for the projects from start to finish through construction administration.
- Performs individual aspects of electrical engineering as it relates to individually assigned projects. This is inclusive of, but not limited to the following:

- Performs construction phase engineering services; RFI’s owner/ architect/ contractor meeting attendance, submittals, construction observation site visits and reports.
- Meets with Clients regarding electrical engineering design and projects.
- Performs appropriate field work to determine a design direction, including making educated decisions on system upgrades.
Education
- BS or MS degree in Electrical Engineering or an Architectural Engineering
- 5+ years related experience in Consulting Engineering

- Works on mechanical design with little direction or input from supervisor/ mentor from start to finish and through Construction Administration on a project of average complexity.
- Understands code requirements and properly applies them to the project.
- Seeks feedback/ validation on design decisions.
- Demonstrates the ability to learn and apply designs of increasing complexity.
- Perform individual aspects of mechanical engineering as it relates to individually assigned projects. This is inclusive of, but not limited to the following:

- HVAC – Split system/Package Heat Pumps, Chilled Water/Hot Water Hydronics, Steam/Condensate, Constant volume and variable volume air distribution systems.
- Plumbing – Medical gas systems, Hot and cold water/waste and vent systems, Compressed air systems.
- Fire protection – Performance drawings and specification for wet pipe and dry pipe systems.

- Performs self QC on work and plans for/seeks appropriate peer review of work.
