DWG provided mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineering services for Merrill Gardens at Greenville, SC, a senior living community that serves as a prominent gateway to downtown Greenville. The community is located near the historic Main Street, the Kroc Aquatic Center, and Fluor Field, home to the Greenville Drive baseball team. The building's footprint is designed to promote walkable access to these public amenities, while also providing an exterior landscaped courtyard facing a potential future trail and a rooftop courtyard with views toward Fluor Field and Main Street. This 150,000-square-foot, six-story building contains 137 independent living senior apartments, ranging from studio apartments to two-bedroom, two-bathroom luxury units. The community features an outdoor pool and over 14,000 square feet of amenity space, including multiple activity rooms, diverse dining options, and a rooftop sky lounge and terrace overlooking downtown Greenville.
