This mixed-use facility includes a rooftop bar and restaurant, ground-floor retail tenant spaces facing King Street, and a five-story hotel featuring 50 luxury units in a mix of studio, one, two, and three-bedroom layouts designed for shortterm and extended stays. Set to open in May, the new building brings modern hospitality to the heart of Downtown Charleston, complemented by a private interior courtyard for guests and a rooftop lounge that is open to the public, offering panoramic views of the city skyline and poised to become a new local favorite. Originally a challenging site due to its zero-lot-line footprint and Downtown Charleston’s complex underground utility infrastructure, the project demanded extensive coordination with local agencies and utility providers. These efforts resulted in creative engineering and design solutions that allowed the development to move forward successfully while respecting the historic urban environment.
