Project Description
DWG provided mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and fire alarm engineering services for the renovation and expansion of the surgical suite at Beaufort Memorial Hospital. The 20,000-square-foot renovation and 5,000-square-foot expansion include eight new operating rooms, a sterile processing department, an expanded Pre-Op & PACU, one bronchoscopy room, two new endoscopy rooms, and support spaces. This project had unique challenges involving the age of the facility, low structural elements, and the requirement to maintain operational status throughout construction.
