DWG is providing complete design and construction phase services for the mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and telecommunications systems at Kimbel Library, located on the campus of Coastal Carolina University in Conway, SC. This comprehensive renovation involves the demolition of the majority of the building’s interior, followed by the installation of all-new mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems. Key upgrades include new HVAC equipment, chilled and hot water distribution systems, modern lighting, fire alarm and mass notification systems, and advanced building controls. The project aims to enhance system performance, occupant comfort, and technological capability within the university’s central library.
