DWG provided mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection engineering services for the Park Circle Community Center, a centerpiece of the $20 million Park Circle Reimagined redevelopment in North Charleston. This ground-up, design-build project features a two-story, 17,500-square-foot community center housing event spaces, classrooms, a kitchen, office space, and a history and archives room. The project also includes a 7,000-square-foot open-air farmers' market pavilion with enclosed restrooms and concessions, a world-record-setting inclusive playground designed for children of all abilities, and an accessible baseball field that supports community recreation. The redevelopment fosters local arts, culture, and recreation while enhancing accessibility and serving as a vibrant community hub.
